VERYKAL LARGE is a very convenient folding umbrella that opens and closes with the push of a button.

 

Press the button on the handle to open it, then press again to close it.

High-quality umbrella fabric

Compared to ordinary fabrics, weaving with ultra-fine 15 denier yarn, which is the thickness of yarn used for socks,

reduces our weight by 50% or more.

 

Even with ultra-fine fibers, each square inch contains 207 warps + 200 wefts = 407 lines,

making it a high-density fiber.

 

Even with thin fabric, there is no need to worry about water leakage, and while the waterproof quality standard for ordinary umbrellas is 250mm or more,

VERYKAL LARGE has a water resistance of 696 mm, more than twice the standard.

 

The fabric has a soft and chewy texture, making it easy to fold and store.

Passed 500 open/close durability tests

VERYKAL LARGE performs 500 open and close operations at a speed of 6 times per minute,

checking if the opening and closing operations are smooth, and obtaining evidence of no abnormalities from a third-party inspection agency.

Improved shaft lock structure

When storing the shaft, we added reinforced parts with a locking function.

By adding reinforcements, the possibility of deformation due to repeated use and aging is reduced.

PFOA-free, durable, and super water-repellent Easy-Dry finish

The fabric surface is treated with Easy-Dry to maintain strong water repellency.

After getting wet in the rain, simply shake the umbrella 2-3 times to remove most of the water droplets.

Most umbrellas' water repellency contains PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid).

PFOA tends to accumulate in the human body, and long-term intake is said to have health effects.

We have switched to PFOA-free production for VERYKAL LARGE.

Reason for lasting strong water repellency

Easy-Dry is a fabric coating that maintains water repellency.

By increasing hydrophobicity to nano-scale fine particles, we obtained hydrophobicity that penetrates deep into the fibers and is difficult to peel off.

Water repellency tests artificially degrade the fabric, so it needs to be washed.

According to general quality standards, a score of 80 points is obtained after 3 washes,

 

but Easy-Dry has high water repellency, scoring 100 points before washing and 90 points after 20 washes,

and has been certified by an individual inspection agency.

Silicone gasket prevents rain leakage

If an umbrella is used during heavy rain, such as guerrilla downpours, "water penetration" rarely occurs.

Water penetration is the phenomenon of rainwater seeping from the umbrella canopy into the interior of the umbrella.

 

Ordinary umbrellas are equipped with a part called "Kikuza",

which is made by sewing the umbrella fabric into a circular shape.

However, Kikuza has tiny gaps that are not enough to prevent water from passing through.

 

By changing the material of Kikuza to silicone, the silicone gasket adheres between the umbrella fabric and the stone tip,

which greatly reduces the possibility of water penetration.

Long wrist strap

The inner circumference of the wrist strap is 25 cm longer than ordinary umbrellas.

It can easily pass over an adult's wrist.

A part of the umbrella rib resin parts, as well as the umbrella head (handle) and umbrella tail, use polycarbonate resin.

Polycarbonate resin is an engineering plastic with high impact resistance among plastics.

 

In previous conventional products, opaque black material was used, but in China, where recycled materials are rampant, to prevent inferior recycled materials from being mixed in, we deliberately added color to transparent materials.
