I. Anti-rebound safety design

 

When retracting an automatic umbrella, if it can't be closed in one go, or if it's released midway, the shaft can suddenly spring out, potentially causing injury...
To address this common issue with most automatic umbrellas, and without significantly increasing the umbrella's weight, we added an "anti-rebound" feature to the VERYKAL 8!
This allows the umbrella to be retracted in stages, preventing it from springing out unexpectedly. It's safe and convenient, making it suitable even for children and elderly individuals with less strength.

15-denier super lightweight tear-resistant canopy

To reduce weight, the umbrella fabric is made from 15-denier material, comparable to the thickness of stockings. Utilizing parachute fabric technology, it's a lightweight weave made from ultra-fine interlaced threads, offering a delicate yet tough feel that makes folding the umbrella easy. No matter how you fold it, it won't get tangled!

Umbrella shaft improved to be lighter

Previously, automatic umbrella springs had a certain thickness. After Amvel's improvements, the shaft has become much lighter. Despite its focus on lightness, the VERYKAL8 with eight ribs would typically increase the umbrella's weight. However, the team overcame technical challenges to proudly launch a "strong yet lightweight automatic umbrella"!
The shaft is also about 18% smaller than previous automatic umbrellas, making the entire shaft very lightweight and slender when folded!

 

III. VERYKAL8 structural upgrade

8-rib carbon fiber frame

After increasing the frame of the VERYKAL 8 from six to eight ribs, the structure became more resistant to strong winds. After testing by a third-party organization, it can withstand strong winds of 14m/s, and it feels more stable when walking with the umbrella open.

The frame has a three-stage bending structure, with the first two sections made of carbon fiber. Due to its lightweight, durable, highly elastic, and high-strength properties, carbon fiber is often used in aerospace vehicles like airplanes, allowing for a light yet sturdy umbrella frame.

 

Anti-deformation "catch"

The VERYKAL 8 features an enhanced locking mechanism at the shaft's catch point, reducing the likelihood of deformation and deterioration after extended use.

 

High-quality impact-resistant PC

The plastic parts of the umbrella frame, the handle, and the runner are made of polycarbonate (PC), an industrial plastic known for its high toughness and impact resistance. Often referred to as "transparent metal," it's commonly used for luggage shells and medical equipment.

 

IV. Wind resistance — a must-have for a good umbrella

Tested to withstand strong winds of 14m/s (approximately Beaufort scale Force 6 - strong breeze), the VERYKAL 8 is not only lightweight but also prioritizes durability. After repeated wind tunnel tests, it not only endures strong winds but its frame and canopy remain perfectly intact!

V. Exclusive super water-repellent umbrella fabric — EASY-DRY

Easy-Dry is an exclusive Amvel product, a functional fabric with strong water repellency. Through nano-level particle water repellent agents, it penetrates into tiny fibers, making it difficult for the water repellency to wear off, ensuring long-lasting performance!

 

Typical water-repellent beads are semi-circular and remain on the umbrella surface, but Easy-Dry technology gives the umbrella fabric high-strength water repellency, making water beads spherical. Raindrops fall naturally from the umbrella surface like small balls, and when closing the umbrella, a gentle shake is all it takes to quickly remove rainwater from the surface!

 

After artificial degradation and water repellency testing by a third-party inspection agency, typical water repellency tests show 80 points of high water repellency after only 3 washes. However, EASY-DRY material scored 100 points before washing and still maintained a high water repellency rating of 90 points after more than 20 washes, demonstrating excellent waterproofing effects!

 

VI. Thoughtful design

Each umbrella comes with a carabiner clip to prevent the umbrella sleeve from getting lost. When carrying many items, you can also hang the umbrella on your bag's handle, reducing the burden on your hands! With this, your umbrella sleeve will no longer get lost at the bottom of your bag.

 

Special loop design

The wrist strap is elastic and 25cm longer than typical umbrella straps, easily fitting over an adult's wrist. Reflective threads are woven into the strap, glowing faintly in the dark, making it easier to find your umbrella in low light or in a cluttered bag.

 

Umbrella removal loop design

The bottom of the umbrella sleeve features a convenient loop for pulling out the umbrella, making it effortlessly clean and easy to retrieve your umbrella from its case!

 

Specially widened canopy strap

The VERYKAL8 has widened its canopy strap to 2.5mm, making it easier to bundle the canopy.

 

Uses silicone gasket, improved water resistance UP!

Most umbrellas have a component called the "umbrella cap flower," made by sewing the canopy into a circle. However, the umbrella cap flower has small gaps that aren't enough to prevent water penetration. We've replaced the cap flower with a silicone gasket, placing the silicone washer between the canopy and the cap, significantly reducing the chance of water seepage.

 

VII. UV protection up to 91%

Traditional UV umbrellas use silver coating for sun protection, but the silver reflects ground radiation onto the face, rendering all your pre-出门防晒 efforts useless...
The VERYKAL 8 features UV-resistant fabric that blocks ultraviolet rays while allowing visible light outside the UV spectrum to pass through. It doesn't focus or reflect light, making it not only thin but also suitable for daily use as a sunshade, with UV protection up to 91%!

Designing environmentally sustainable products is Amvel's initial brand philosophy, hoping to extend the benefits of green products through commonly used umbrellas. Some umbrella waterproofing agents in Japan contain fluorine compounds like "PFOA," which are certified "Persistent Organic Pollutants" under the EU Stockholm Convention, posing long-term harm to both humans and the environment.

The VERYKAL 8 uses Taiwanese Formosa Fabrics, certified by OEKO-TEX ® for textile environmental standards in the EU. Both the manufacturing process and the finished product are safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly, making it a safe and eco-friendly fabric.

 

Tested for 500 open/close cycles

The VERYKAL 8 underwent testing by a third-party inspection agency, performing 500 open and close operations at a speed of 6 times per minute to check for smooth operation, and it received a "no abnormalities" verification.
